With over 60 years of history, Sumol was born in 1954.
Fruit of the combination of the words Sumo and Sol, the Sumol brand presented itself to the market as a fruit specialty with orange juice, without dyes or preservatives, lightly carbonated and with fruit pulp in suspension.
Guided by a high dynamic, Sumol defines the trends: it was the first pasteurized fruit juice drink to appear in Portugal, the first to be celebrated on Portuguese television with an ad and remains today a pioneer in the implementation of technological solutions, innovation and the development of new flavors. But Sumol is more and more than its physical product characteristics, it is a brand that, due to its entrepreneurial spirit, faces life in an optimistic way.
Sumol believes that “life is better in the sun”, that “the glass is always half full” and that we must make “every moment an opportunity”, only then can we get more out of life. Sharing this optimism with those around us makes everything even better. This is our mission.
To provide different experiences for our consumers, Sumol is available in Orange, Pineapple and Passion fruit flavors, in packaging formats for individual consumption (0.25L, 0.33L and 0.5L) or family (1.25L, 1.5L and 2.0L). It also has a range of Sumol Zero (without added sugars), available in the familiar 1.25l format.
